Is that doable on a 14? if it isn't I may be jumping ship if Suzuki strike back.

Hey, I know that road.
Goodtimes!
To answer your Q: "Is that doable on a 14?"... just reread your thread title, "skills".

yeah I knew the guy was skilled but wondered since the busa is supposed to handle better than the pre 12 14's. Doesn't matter though Brock's map I am using says "busa slip on" so I know I have great grunt for corners and the ohlins suspensions are stellar! Lots of people are crashing at muholland! I want to go to california (santa monica) before summer but I'll have to do a couple of track days so I can look decent at Muholland!
Looking good Dogo! Where was Jason? lol

thanks guys. That's me on my busa having a little fun.
yeah, the busa does feel better to me in cornering. After riding the busa many days in a row last summer , I cam back to the 14 and the steering felt like it required a LOT more muscling. That traslates into less focus on other aspects of riding. When I first rode the busa I noticed immediatey how light and sharp the steering felt at very low speed and high. That is remarkable because the busa was totally stock and a lot heavier than the 14.
Still, I feel I know the 14 best and I would pick that bike to do my hardest cornering and riding of all sorts. It's all what you are used to.
If that is really the riding you wan to pursue, I'd just get a much smaller bike. That's what I'm doing someday and I already have a busa and 14.

When the pic of me was shot, I'm pretty sure he was still suckin' on Hub's tail pipe.
Look @ this fuckin' squid with his visor up!

Think a big part of that is the stock boingers on the 14.

Oh and...
That's Fish "breaking in" a bone stock '06 loaner bike... so yes, very doable.

I STAND CORRECTED
The day I installed the map I had spent the whole night disassembling the bike etc, I also had tried 3 different maps and was probably high on Shell 93. I clicked on the link Brock sent me and the busa was briefly discussed in it! I still don't know how I made the stupid connection but I thought they were calling it a busa map cause of the grunt. Still stupid!
The one I'm actually using is the dual slip on gen 3 map. I'm sure I lost some top end but the grunt is nice. It power wheelie easier than my muzzy slip on did. That being said, I had a really conservative fuel economy custom map.
I'm taking the bike to cycle werkz this spring to have it custom tuned, hopefully I can extract some bonus hp and get a smoother delivery. If I have enough $$ I will do a dyno pull with stock filter, 1 with the pipercross, then one with some mid stacks.

Still weird... You don't have s/o's.

I don't think I can forward you the maps, you'll be able to see the e-mail but not sure you'll get the map...

The 180/55 takes that feeling away completely. no effort required at all.
At high speeds it still slow to turn, but lighter wheels should help that. That's big $$, the tyre is so easy and such a transformation, I don't know why there's a 190/55 stock

Suspensions and shock height adjustments made a big difference for me. I'm sure the 55 and BST wheels will be enough. I have read a lot about 14 steering v.s busa steering and almost everybody agrees the busa is better. Even the 14R came short according to cycle world... In the future, I hope the manage to surpass the busa handling without sacrificing in comfort... I know wishful thinking
