RE: Yoshimura R-55 Exhaust for 2012 ZX-14R

Hi there,
I am fitting my new Yoshi R55 to my bike on Friday, and will let you know how it sounds and looks.
I am absolutely in love with the look of this pipe. Will be fitting a BAZZAZ with speedshifter in August.

Hi All, have this pipe on my bike now for 3 months. It makes beautiful sound, awesome power, and is the best looking pipe out there.
I am fitting an HM shifter to the bike. Job will be done by Friday, and I can then comment on the speedshifter.

Got a set of SS Yosh R77's NIB, never installed for sale for a 12 ZX14R. Factory box and all install parts for cheap over in the for sale section.

anybody else think porportion wise, thats just a little too small looking??
I'm not a big fan either. Also I don't like "polished" pipes on sportbikes, unless they are short like the Alien Head or Street Meg. Love darryle's exhaust but then again I love mine too:

I think its due to us being used to the big ol honkin' stock cans. ANY pipe will look too small after having those pumpkin chunkers burnt in your memory.
I imagine after putting on my Brock's dual CTs, they'll look undersized for a while too, after just coming off the massive stock cans.

You will get more power if you use an power commander and have it tuned.

The Yosh looks sick on your green monster ! How do you like that Baxley ? I just got one a couple of weeks ago, come in real handy, especially when no one is around to help me ....

Guys does anyone have dyno results with the R55 full system? How does the sound compare to other pipes (or Two Bros slip-ons)?
Cheers

I have an R77 full system, CF. It sounds...like God's trumpets. Yosh has always been known for their exhaust note tuning.
As far as power, honestly you'll probably gain more acceleration from dumping the weight of the stock exhaust/dual system than picking up 8-10 "dyno" horsepower.
