Sorry green, couldn't watch more than 4 minutes because this guy was so annoying.
"Don't talk to cops"?
What an absolute hypocrite.
Who do you think this big talker will call if there is a problem with him or his family?
He will call the very people he is undermining and expect them to support and protect him and his.
I hope if he ever does call the police regarding an issue he is experiencing, the attending officers would have seen this video and say to him "Sorry, we won't be talking to you!"
This guy is a law professor. An ex criminal defence attorney no less.
If he represented a pedophile rapist and found a technicality such as the 5th to get his client an acquittal he would do so.
Just too bad for the victim(s) family.
A very important point. If he was a criminal prosecuting attorney do you think his opinion would be the same?
You make your own conclusion on that.
Mine?
Due to being a criminal defence attorney he would use whatever is necessary to get the the required result and guilt or innocence would be of little consequence to him.
Of course he loves the 5th.
But imagine if it was his infant daughter / son who was the victim of a pedophile rapist who by taking the 5th was acquitted.
What do you think his opinion would be then?
I repeat.
If you are innocent you will answer any question posed to you because you have done nothing wrong and have nothing to hide.
If you have something to hide, if you have done wrong, if you want to protect yourself against incrimination, then the 5th is a perfect advantage.
Put those two statements together and what is the logical conclusion.
The guilty are advantaged by the 5th.
Look at what happened here on our own forum.
You had a guy who went too far, was banned, came back under a different name, and was then challenged if he was the banned ex forum member.
What did he do?
He claimed the 5th and laughed at what he considered to be his own cleverness.
He knew the truth, we knew the truth, but it made no difference.
It was only due to the fact that he was an arrogant fool who thought he was smarter that everyone else that he did what 99% of people like him do.
He made a mistake that he wasn't intelligent enough to guard against and was exposed.
Perhaps I am too principled.
But I firmly believe right is right and wrong is wrong, and I disagree with anything this Politically Correct / Do Gooder society does to provide the guilty rights...

well,it's just some entertainment anyway. The officer that follows him in the second segment has some interesting opinions and thoughts and experiences...maybe watch that one as well. The first guy is annoying.
"If you are innocent you will answer any question posed to you because you have done nothing wrong and have nothing to hide."...well,this is how I've always felt.So it's a normal thing.BUT,sometimes 'just answering' seemingly innocent questions can 'incriminate' a person just by how it's asked.'It can and will be used against you'...part two...watch that one.

I know it's impossible but it would be interesting to see the stats on that.

I think the stats are pretty high actually. The second vid really explains it.This guy's an ex inspector and police. He tells it pretty clear. It happens a lot more than people would imagine. It's not about 'talking to the police(cause they're bad people)...it's about how questions are framed and such.Even if innocent, people can unwittingly say things that COULD be used to convict em.Lots of innocent people in jails. Most don't have the means to hire a real lawyer.
A simple example. There's a murder with guns at a place. They pull over a driver they suspect 'may' have been there. They make a seemingly innocent statement.."There was a murder over at such and such...that's why we pulled you over...you fit a description of so and so"...
The suspect says "I didn't shoot anyone".
And there it is...or could be.NOBODY said anything about a shooting. And this guy didn't shoot anyone. He was just trying to answer the question.
It's stuff like that that can get a person even if innocent into deep shit. And they use things like this all the time.

Ive taken a "few" firearms courses/classes over the years, many are taught by police, sort of a side job for them. Some of the best advice I ever received from a Dep. Sheriff, which can be used effectively in any situation where the popo get involved and ask you questions is to only say one thing over and over and they basically have to stop asking you questions.
And that is to state " my lawyer will submit a full and complete statement in writing within 24 hrs"
Never had to use it, thankfully

A good dose of selective memory goes a long way.Is That the guy yannih talks about that got the feds sicked on him? Cant seem to figure that one out. What I do see is the guy being blackmailed by way of web stalking by one group for supposed web stalking on his own part(dont see anything here to back that up however).I am seeing that correctly arent I? And it also seems great pride was taken without an ounce of shame as to that double standard. Just the way it strikes me, but what do I know?

I'm not watching the video because it sounds NSFW for me. I will say this, I am sure police try to get you to incriminate yourself all the time when they question you even if the questions seem pretty routine. It's a simple way of gathering evidence.
One example: "do you know why I am stopping you today?" Answer that and you just admitted to something that they might not have even known you did. They might have stopped you for something else. A cop asked me how fast I was going once and I really didn't know for sure so I just shook my head. He was a nice guy so he just let that go and I got a warning. Glad I stopped. He might have never caught me had I kept going at that pace.
Another example: as some might remember, I was busted for operating a vehicle without insurance some years ago. The cop asked for proof of insurance and I told him I had none. He came right out and said "you just admitted to a crime." Frisked and off I went in cuffs to be processed. Lucky for me the DA agreed to let it slide if I paid the fines and got the insurance....which I did ASAP.
A month later I was stopped for erratic driving! LOL I know that was a bunch of bull. I looked at her like she was nuts. I couldn't have been driving off the edge of the road or I would have been on the ice and I would surely know if that would have been the case. She just wanted to see if I had my insurance now and I did. I showed it. I don't think you have to but in this day and age, they can find out pretty quickly I'm sure.
Don't do bad stuff and I think most cops are going to treat you ok if you are stopped. If they're a bad cop, they're going to get you no mater what you say or don't say. It is my hope and my belief that there are not too many bad cops out there and it's not something the average Joe needs to worry about.
