zx14r Delkevic

I came across some Delkevic slipons advertised for the 12-13 zx14r.
Is anyone running these on their 14r? I did a quick search on the forum and all I came up with was a couple threads where people had retrofitted slip-ons designed for the older models. I want to know the quality of the product, fit, finish, and sound. Are they even worth a shit or should pass for yoshis? I'm not looking for more power, just want a little noise and a cleaner look than what the stock can has to offer.

My buddy recently fitted them to his 2012 model. They are not very loud with the (removable) end baffle in. Quality seems fine and the bike runs well with them.

That's a nice simple clean look! Chrome looks good on that green model even without the polished al wheels.

Minimalist beauty/ good feng shui!

Buddy of mine has one on his Connie and he likes it just fine. Good build quality and it sounds really good. I spent 3 days behind him listening to it a few weeks ago in the mountains. Nice pipe for sure if want something that isn't crazy loud and expensive. I put the Two Brothers black series on mine because they were only $598 and I just love the Two Brothers sound but the only other option I considered was these. I would have had them if I hadn't found that deal on ebay.

Installed mine this AM--good fit and finish, nice tone. IMHO--can't beat them for the price. Maybe could use a bit more resin on the carbon fiber, I'm happy with them....I'll try to post pictures when I have time, gotta get to work!!!

I would really love to see a pic of a Black 2012-13 with a Delkevic Tri-Oval CARBON Slip-on. Been holding out a year for Vance & Hines to get there shit together but.......not a priority for them (emailed countless times) So anyone.....please send pics through and impressions of their Delkevic exhaust systems (carbon slip ons specifically)
Cheers Scott

Nasty

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder!

Those cans sound nice, perform well, will sinificantly lighten your ride and most importanly are cost affective. If this is the combination your looking for it's a match for your bike.

I've bought cost effective and performs well products but comprimised on looks. Never again it just ends up bothering you more and more later. So for me esthetics are big.

Pipes and mods are soooo personal!

I do agree Wolf! I have been mulling over this decision since about a year before I bought the bike! :)))) I better go down to my garage, sit in my chair, drink some coffee, and ponder the possibilities while gazing at Priscilla some more! Tough, tough, struggles that we face! :)))))

C, if I did not have a budget, or concious about perhaps my two kids and their college fund. I would get the carbon and stainless Brock, full system. I might get me a set of carbon wheels, and for good measure a Sergeant seat. I might also add levers and pegs, perhaps some Nitris...but that's dreaming. Oh just for good measure, I might also blueprint the bike and overhaul the engin professionally. Olhins suspension and a damper... Perhaps add some airbrush lettering with "Wolfman" signature on the tail wing and match it up with my Arai helmut.

C's right, it's tough, decisions, decisions.

Wman.

PS have not checked my lottery ticket. If I win, I'm going to the Isle of Man and entering the TT, with my race built Kaw 10 (that I would buy because I could afford it, or maybe a bmv 1000rr)....

Allright! I'm with ya for the Mann trip! I'm bringing the second 14R with me on that trip from my lotto success. She will also be a 12 but grn. Ohlins frnt and rear, + damper, Marchesini forged, Beringer for brk and clutch, Akro full, PCV + AT. Re-flash. Pair block. Balance and blueprint, but nobody try to 'improve' my heads flow please! I have felt hand ported and polished heads vs stock on the busa and duc, and the feel of my stockers is flawless. Mirror delete. ZG DB. Think formula extreme endurance racer with balls! :))). We could lay some waste brother!

I came across someone with a set of graves slipons a couple days ago. A super nice clean and deep tone that brought me to full mast! Sound is just as important as how it looks, your gonna have to spend a lot of time with the pipes droning in your ears every time you ride. I know for me I've got to find the right combination before I commit to anything.

Cblast and Wolfman- excellent idea you guys got there.

Mos def! I've spent all last summer and this winter dreaming about what I would like to do before I made the purchase. Brock's CT full duals, Ivan's reflash, Ohlins suspension all the way around, other various mods and whatnot. You guys did a good job, it's hard to add more to it. Ha

I like the cornering wayyyy too much for a stretch or fat tire. I want to evolve the beast! :)) I like looking at them but I always think in the back of my head that it is an evolutionary branch of the motorcycle world that simply ends. I could see having one done for display. Damn, that means I need a third! And heck yes nasty can hit the isle with us! We are gonna have to run staggered starts! :)))

There's few dudes I take from this forum,
Beast, Dave, Steveie, Hub, Bean, Darryle, Kofla, Green 17 ... the list is endless.

For sure though I promised Hub!

Staggared starts, they say it takes an average rider three years to learn the course, so times a wasting brothers...

I like the cornering wayyyy too much for a stretch or fat tire.

C, can't agree more man. I would not stretch her out...can see her with a moded single side swing arm though!
Let the fabrication begin...
