Accessory plug fuse - Where is it?
07/11/12 7:14 AM

In case anyone didn't know, the '12 has an accessory wire/plug on the right side just inside the fairing - the plug is just above the clutch cover.

Had my heated vest plugged in and appoarently blew the fuse. Checked the fuse blocks under the seat, all good.
Must be somewhere up front, but I'm too lazy to start taking off bodywork.

The only fuse that I saw for the accessory plug was a 10amp fuse in the junction box beneath the seat. Double check it (remove and re-install) or use a multimeter to see if you're getting power to the circuit.

That's another thing - can't find my multimeter. Easiest way to find it is to buy another, then it'll show right up.

I'll re-check and see what I find. This vest blew about 6 fuses on my ZRX over the past 7 or 8 years.

I guess it's possible your vest has a flaw causing it to draw too much amperage or it just naturally draws greater than 10amps to begin with. Good luck with the diagnosis. Keep us posted please.

Pics of this plug? Never seen it went to look and nothing?

If you weren't there for my struggles, don't expect to be here for my success.
