This looks REALLY good. Are the fenders the same for all year models? For example, if I have a 2007, do I need to get a 2007 front fender?

it's not the year that you want to match, commish, it's the color. gumby got it pretty close. looks good!

Kawi uses the same colors year after year.They change every once in awhile in the model line up.I bet that fender came off a 04 zx10.Or a 07 10.Just like Metallic Diablo black has been used since 04.They just called it Spark black then!
Kinda funny thing happened a week or so ago.The local Kawi dealer was doing a warranty on a fairing for a 08 250 due to shippng damage.The 08 250 had Passion red(06 zx14).The 09's are now using Sun Beam Red(more orange).Just suttle enough!!
Any way I bet it's the same color fender you got for your 14.

I DID get the brackets from DUBIOUS.
They had to be modified just a bit and the fender needed some minor filing/slotting to fit right but it's an easy install. The 2 blues matched perfectly ( I bought a 07 ZX10 fender for an 07 ZX14).

Please explain the "mounted brackets on the fork tubes" comment.
I don't understand.

I've always liked the look of the zx10 fender on our bikes. Even have a pair of Dub's brackets sittin' right here. So what's holdin' me back?.... I don't like the the fact that the rear mount is just left open. Looks unfiniished, IMHO.

So what have/are/should someone do with the bracket?
My only ideas so far are:

a)Cut it off. (don't like that one:()
b)Mount the stock round reflector in the location (i hate reflectors :()
c)Just stick a bolt in the hole. (what I'm leaning towards)
d)Get over it! You're the only one who will notice/care!

Thoughts? Suggestions?

I would go with option B

I'm going with option "D" for now but will entertain other ideas....

Another idea, I just had while staring at the picture, is to make/find some kind of bracket to route the brakelines and mount it there.

I dunno????

I think I'll do swap in the next couple weeks, then figure it out.
BTW, an easy way for anyone to find a match for your bike is to just go to http://www.colorrite.com/ and do a search for your paint name or code. All '04-'07 zx10r and '05-'06 636 front fenders are the same, just match your color.

Blue07's bracketless swap was done with a '08-'09 zx10r front fender.

Which I do like, and have been considering, but I am still leaning towards '04-'07 style fender. It comes in my bike's color (candy thunder blue) and I kinda like the black abs sides. They'd match my foremans and lowers.

the easiest way to compare the color codes and name is
on Colorrite.com IMHO.
This also is the same blue as 2006 636 and 2005 zx10 etc.

BTW cutting those ugly brackets for the 14 fender with a dremel
will take about 10 min... not sure how well the touch up paint
is going to look though.

Gumby!! The pics of the brackets mounted without the Fender on there yet! And DOGO-I'll take "D"-ya MIGHT want to go back to Stock Someday,yes? BTW-the kawasaki code for Candy Plasma Blue is 723. Any parts fiche with the zx10 fender,regardless of year,will have #723 listed for color options-so pick yer year.Same with all body parts.If she aint listed,she aint BLUE.

On my Connie, that bracket holds the bracket to which the reflector is attached. I mounted my Denali D2 LED lights in place of the reflector.
