That would be about the only reason I can think of for our government to enforce such strict control. I guess it would have to be something like what happened in New Orleans a couple years back except much more wide spread. I hope it would be to protect the masses rather than control them permanently.

In New Orleans they arrested property owners and took their guns. Then they released them with no way to protect their property from looters. You can find YouTube videos of our military performing these disturbing acts. Some of the military personnel are making comments like " We never thought we would have to be doing things like this in America."

If you take the guns away either by outlawing them or taxing the components beyond affordability how can the people fight back? If you have no ammunition a gun is useless.

Why did the Department of Defense through the Defense Logistics Agency change the policy of selling once fired military cartridge brass to requiring them to be reduced to scrap? They must not be interested in recycling because these can be used over and over again. Perhaps they want to limit the amount of ammunition in civilian hands.

Up here in canada its next to impossible to own a hand gun - difficult to own a gun of any kind (they have a gun registry in place here), but its cool cuzz it has greatly eased up on our violent crimes. YA..we only have a gun murder about every other day in Vancouver BC right now, and those murders are only being done by criminals with the guns.
It would of course be much worse if the citizens had guns to carry, because heck criminals would be getting killed to..and that would be inhuman. We have to protect the criminals rights EH.

Candaderr is a great country but a bit expensive. Besides paying a fortune in taxes for "social services" it looks like a flack jacket might be what a guy needs to survive our enlightened society and they are rather costly not to mention hot in the summer to wear.
