" Or wait untill after I try that".I would just do that right away.Sooted plugs like yours will still fire okay with a good ECU...if that's the problem.Clean em if you want...may as well anyway. If the PC's off the bike now,I'd just leave it off till you know for sure the ECU is good or not. There will be ZERO damage or anything to a swapped ECU.The bike won't hurt it.It MAY even throw a code...that'd be good.IS you ecu showing any messages?I know it's a bit late to ask that. But you can check that function as it is right now...did you try that?I believe if you push both meter buttons in at the same time and hold for a few seconds, something may just show up.(key on of course, but you knew that;) ).

Installed new plugs unhooked power commander rode for 2 miles bike still did the same thing. Only thing I’ve noticed is while moveing the temp gauge is one bar when I come to a stop it will creep to 3 in about 10-15 seconds

How clean is the air cleaner? Pull it and look to see if you can see thru the pleats via the sun or a lamp.

Yes I can see through it. I blew compressed air through it the other day even tho it wasn’t really dirty.

Installed new plugs unhooked power commander

Dude sorry about that....I feel for you. I chased my tail for 2 weeks when I bought my 06 with a similar but not exact problem. I had 9 month old gas in my bike when I bought it and was so sure that my issue was fuel related because of it. Only 3500 miles on the bike. I pulled my plugs and they all looked perfect and were identical. I had a mis-fire up through 5k rpms. The week earlier was the reverse, a misfire at 5k rpms upward but not below. It ended up being a bad plug. I bought some extra stuff to help rule out stuff. That is why I have an extra fuel pump and 4 extra coils. Trying everything to keep from taking it to the stealership.

I did get excellent help from a number of members that I am still in debt to. Hub and Rook to name a few.

I am guessing that your injectors are so fouled that one or more are dripping into the cylinders and not igniting. Which could cause a fouled plug and stutter. I stand by the need to run that bitch clean from head to toe. Start in the tank and clean it and the screen. pull the injectors or rig a cleaning station like I did. zip it all back together and see. Then you may want to borrow my pump to rule out that damn internal filter. After that I don't know....vacuum leak somewhere or ecu isssue? I am not a mechanic and probably someone will argue with my post.....possibly in a nasty way, but I can take it. I am just thinking out loud here.

Super clean the air side of the filter insert. Leave the side filter cover off. Take the bike for a ride without the element. Still stumbles?

Smell for the heavy scent in the ram chamber. See if it's wet with gas too. I should have asked when you had the service doors off.

Go down to the left foot peg and look under the peg area. There is a hose with a plug at the end of the hose. Gas/oil might come out of the hose so capture this with something as routine maintenance when so many thousands of miles accumulate.

Go look at the engine oil window on the right, lower clutch cover side. Take a whiff of that hole. Smell like gas? Upright the bike so its level. Where is the level? If it's high or past the window, there might be excess gas passing the rings and down into the to the crankcase.

Go take a coat hanger and make a dipstick so it can reach down into the oil, pull it out and does the oil drip like water? Ding-Ding-Ding!

That one plug looks wet. Are the other 3 dry at this area? That's no threads, right at the circle where the side electrode is welded on that wet ring. If the other 3 are dry at the ring, there is your problem child you are holding.

" A friend is the one who had hooked up his computer to the PC And loaded a Brock’s map. Then we put his autotuner on it and rode it came back and accepted the trims".Your Brock's map may just have been too rich at that rpm range. You're saying it's stuttering still with NO pc hooked up,right? And the black soot.Dry plugs.Yes?

Not sure what trims you accepted. Some of Brock's mapping can be rich.It was on my H2.Gas smell AND backfires.Ugly fuel exhaust fumes.Ran fairly rough down low.Did not check plugs...so IDK what they may have looked like.Removed PC.Bike runs killer now again.

No tellin what kind of mapping was in there(on yours/friend's map).

Seemed all 4 were a tad wet when pulled out. Haven’t been able to do much to it today but I noticed when I have the bike running and I turn the bike off with the key it sounds like a rattle or shorting inside the ecu? Oil seems to be in between the lines and doesnt have a big gas smell.

Well guys I have good news. I fixed the problem. After my buddy crashed it he was gonna street fighter it and put a led light bar in place of the headlights. Apparently the bike did not agree with that as I fixed the problem by accident when I decided to put the headlights and fairings back on all is good now. Thank you guys for all your help.
