I think a big factor is currency exchange. The US dollar and Canadian dollar have been essentially equal for a couple of years now. I looked up the dollar / yen exchange, here is what I found
July '07 120 Yen to the dollar
Aug '08 110
Apr '09 100
Jun '10 90
Jul '11 80
The dollar keeps getting weaker against foreign currency, imports become more expensive.
Of course, $17k in Canada vs $15k in USA, hum...

I was in Canada this summer and there was a 10% tax, on new motor vehicles its 13%? Hey atleast you get free healthcare and the best titty bars anywhere!

If you don't like the price a good response is not to buy. New is over rated anyways.

Greg,Rod at Kahuna said he will match/better that on one bike and if Roman you and I each buy one, better price still.He initially gave me a price of 18780. out the door.If we buy state side we need a US/address postal box

I am still waiting on Rod's price but I am certainly happy to be 1/3 of a pruchase of 3 to get a better price. The price I gave is from twowheel in Guelph.
I paid 12,800 OTD for my new 07 in January of 08 from 2wheel.
If you guy's want to figure something out let me know. The bike show is only a few weeks away so it may not be a bad idea to at least see the beast first before ploppin' down the kajingles.

Greg,doing the math you got about 20% off your 07 bought in jan 08.I got about 10% off my 07 bought may 5 /07.I really don't think there will be a shortage of these bikes.Kahuna had 3 black 14's on the floor

I just got back from Kahuna and Rod told me that there are 3 peope on the waiting list for the first bikes - April delivery. Anybody on this list?
I was planning on ordering at the bike show in a few weeks.
April Delivery is also very late.

Kawasaki canada will not be at the december show in Toronto.They will be at the supershow in january.not only are they on drugs, but cheap drugs.Check the dealer show,they have officially pulled out in toronto.WTF is going on????
