The second pic was taken about 4yrs ago IIRC..

Gonna need another one soon 'cause Jimmy in white has a Connie now (we all three still have zrxes).

Of course I have my zx14 and Charlie ( in red) is shopping for a ZX14...

Photos past and present like these are a rarity. Dude, you totally rock ! Amazing that you even have this photo and to contrast it with a new one is the icing on the cake.

My bud I've been friends with since 4th grade ... we're both 48 now ... is DYING to get a ZRX. He had 1982 GPz750 back in the 80s, and he still loves that style best. He's been bike-less for 20+ years with family but now is in position to get another. I'm helping him look. I'm gonna send him your newer pic with 3 of them. He's gonna drool.

Ex.. I sold my 2000 Rex to a 29 yr old young man from Washington State..His wife told me he had been wanting a ZRX forever (he mainly was a dirt bike rider and wanted the bike to commute on). They have two very young girls and she said besides being a great husband , he is an exceptional father, When he showed her my add for the REX, she told me she had to say yes and we began talking on the phone..They lived over 500 miles away so I tried to explain that my REX had been modified many different ways and maybe he should look for something closer to stock..

They wound up driving 500 miles one way to my home to get the bike ..A year later I received a text from him..I don't remember exact words but it went something like this...."Charley, just wanted you to know the REX is running great and I am still smiling .. every day!! "
Have you ever sold a bike to a stranger who felt the need to let you know the bike was still fine.... a year later??? Only a REX owner would understand..:)

EX.. I know where a 2000 REX is just sitting under a cover inside a garage..The fellow has two REXes and is looking for a zx12 or 14 and preparing to sell the 2000 green REX. It is in the top 5% when it comes to the cleanest bikes you will EVER see.. It has never been dropped, or on a racetrack of any kind, but I have ridden a lot of country roads with him, maybe 40,000 miles . Just guessing about mileage, can't remember exactly..

chrly - Where's the ZRX under cover??? If you're 500 mi from Wash State you're prob too far away from us here in FL.

EX..The bike is here in Northern California..And I am pretty sure it will not be cheap..add transportation and yep,
would be pretty expensive..

Yeah, too far. And while he's "in position to get another" he doesn't have much $.

Funny, I very very rarely see ZRX's here in N Cent FL, but just today at lunch time saw one right here on the road where I work, guy with girl passenger.

I found about 8 decent ones for sale on Craigslist within a few hours of homes, which I sent him. He'll find one.

Hell some of the ads are making ME wanna get one! But I don't even have enough time to ride the big ZX

I could probably set you up with "one piece at a time" from my storage bins :) ..JK..I have to finish exhaust and radiator for the last one I have..Not sure if I will keep it to drag race or sell it.. The doggone 14 does everything so well, JUST like the REX did for a decade. I turboed the REX and with 8 pounds of boost I had 198 hp and 120 ft pounds of torque.. Sound familiar ?? :)

Leaning towards selling it and using those dollars for "stuff" for the 14..time will tell..

Very low miles, 4,100 I think, but it has a cracked fairing (which is what the Sunoco decal is hiding) and a dent in the gas tank ... UGH. Otherwise prefect.

Can you recommend a source for a replacement red tank and/or red fairing?
