Kawasaki is taking over New York's Time Square on September 13, 2012, 11:00 am - 8:00 pm, ET, to introduce the world to the 2013 Ninja® sportbikes.  The new 2013 Ninja® sportbikes will be unveiled and on display, along with several historic models and a few surprises.  

Hangout for a while and enjoy a full day of cool events!

I just noticed its on a Thursday wth! Can't make that...:(

I was talking to the owner and finance / marketing manager at Twigg Cycles (my dealer) yesterday.

Kawasaki is coming out with a 300 and 400 Ninja though not sure they will get to the USA next year. The 400 in particular would be a total blast to ride, I think.

The Ninja 600 is going to 636cc and this will cause Kawasaki USA trouble with AMA / WERA. But since they already let Triumph and Ducati run much larger displacements, pretty good chance they can get it accepted.

The ZX10R is getting Ohlin electronic steering damper and nothing else. I was asking about Sykes' WSB ride, and the owner knows the team owner, and he told me that ZX10R isn't even close to stock. The tank is moved on it to change the weight distribution, the swingarm has been modified, the forks are modified, the shock is modified, the back end is higher than stock, and the list goes on. I had no idea they were doing so much to the WSB bike.

Privateer, did your guy say what colors they're going to have on the 2013s? (sorry for the high-jack)

That weekend is my b-day also. I will be in Key West for the Miami - Key West poker run (tons of cool custom bikes). But I will be checking out the colors for 2013 on Thursday.

Friend called me today (owner of LI Kawasaki), told me that we have 10 ninjas riding to times square Thursday. We going to stop at midtown tunnel and getting a police escort to Rimes Square... We will be parking in Times Square also, pretty cool as long as people don't try to get on our bikes... Lol
