what type of steering stabilizer will work with risers?

I want to add a steering damper as sometimes I ride like a psycho....I am getting therapy for this. Anyway I have 1.25" risers installed on the bike. Will any dampers work?....I am guessing not the bar style like Ohlins.

thanks
Joel

I think you will have problems fitting an oil tube damper. I'd suggest a rotary like the Ohlins, GPR or Scotts. I heard the Chinese copies seem to work just fine too. Check out the Youtube reviews. Looks the same and seems to work. Buy before the Trump tariffs go into full swing.

There are also oil tube dampers that clamp to the fork tube and the rod with heim joint bolts somewhere to the frame. You might be able to use the engine mount if you get a longer bolt and make sure it is grade 8 or whatever it is supposed to be. Maybe you could fab out a bracket that bolted to the engine mount and bolt the heim joint to that. I'd go with the rotary.
