Looking at a couple sites for a Schuberth SR1 helmet, they are about $300 cheaper than any US dealer, problem is, that motardinn is in Spain, and motostorm is in Italy so I am concerned with
1) getting ripped off
2) getting charged with duties, taxes, tariffs etc ...

If you have any experience with either of them, please let me know.

Carabuser did you ever end up ordering anything from either of these vendors? I ordered a jacket and boots from motostorm.it, I haven't recieved it yet,but as far as communication and shipping there spot on. I placed my order on Thursday night and received confirmation and tracking info on Friday. Prices on Alpinestars gear is insane.

Hey wfox, never did order from them, they do have good prices though, let me know
how you order goes, the only thing I wanted to know was the tariffs or custom
taxes, if they use the right code on the paperwork, there shouldn't be any additional
taxes for M/C Accessories.

I'll keep you posted. If all goes well I'll save over $500.00 buying from them.

There's got to be more to this than meets the eye. I wonder if they sale seconds? Not that it's a big deal, I'd take a couple of out of place stitches to save 33-50% but their prices seem too good to be true. Possibly counterfeit?

Thats how I felt vic, but I've searched other forums and guys seem to have good luck. I will post up my completely honest results good or bad.

I have heard mostly good things about the one in Spain, there are always a bad review no matter what,
the thing I heard was that you might have to wait if the item is not actually in stock,

If your not in a hurry, it seems worth it, I don't really need anything, but on item I was looking at
the matte black Shoei Marc Marquez was $410 it is $564 at most M/C places on the web here ..

Cara, I recently ordered a pair of Held Titan Gloves from the UK off Flea Bay. Saved big but ended up getting a tax/duty bill as well. Still saved big over what they are selling for in the US. Generally customs/duty can be up to 6-10% of total cost of item purchased.

Yea thats what I was afraid of, there is a way around it, BUT the person filling out the forms,
needs to know what they are doing, and use the right code ...

Well this experiment fizzled out. They emailed me yesterday and informed me the color jacket I ordered was out of stock. I canceled my complete order and my paypal account was refunded within 5 minutes. I will try again in the future for sure.
