Ya...I think I mentioned this a while back...'got rid of'...well..I still have it...replaced back with a stock shock.I didn't change back cause there's anything 'wrong' with the ohlins. There isn't.But I just couldn't get the ride 'plushness' back with the ohlins.Sounds odd I know. But the LOWEST/plushest settings on that were NOT the same as the factory plushness. And with the ohlins...you can only soften it up so far...then that's where it sits.Any lowering of the rear by adjusting the shock length results in a stiffer ride. And you can only lengthen the throw so much.IDK...maybe I just didn't know how to really dial it in.I went with the Ohlins recommendations...sent from the guy at Ohlins. It worked okay...I mean...for a guy wanting a 'stiffer' ride for fast carving...but I didn't care for the feel of it like that.I'm just so used to working with the factory one...the settings and such...that getting the Ohlins to mimic the factory one just wasn't working(for me).And I tried a BUNCH of settings for a BUNCH of scenarios while riding. The main feel difference to me was running VERY HIGH speed runs. But a guy doesn't go up there very often...unless he wants a big fat ticket and all;)
I reinstalled the factory shock...immediately the ride plushness and all was back. That's what I was wanting....live and learn;)I rode my friend's 14R(2014)..all stock except the exhaust)...I felt what I was missing....so here I am...back to stock on all components except Flash and Exhaust.Happy again I might add;)Returned to stock pegs as well....factory ergos again.I did however mod my factory seat some...this time...I did it right, with the right tool.It turned out VERY nice...best I've done yet.Feels really good(for me anyway). She is lowered by about a half inch up front....with helis on her now.Yes...the Hyperpro is NOT on there at the moment.I like the feel of the bar movement.Without 'restrictions'.
I know the hyperpro in it's lowest setting STILL restricts some bar movement at parking lot speeds.I wanted that unrestrained feel back....everything's here if I decide to make some changes up the road. But really...the factory config is WHY I bought her in the first place.Nothing 'wrong' adding mods to the Ninja...but I'm just a regular guy....I don't need add ons for handling and such...

Hm? You might try a lighter spring for the Ohlins some day. LOL my front and rear springs are set up for a 220 lb rider so this should be interesting. Far as the HyperPro, I can't tell it's there AT ALL at any setting when I steer. Maybe they tightened it up? I'll have to get mine serviced some day and maybe it will come back stiffer.
