Hello all, been getting the bike ready for early spring rides and I’m looking to install a relayed charging system. I don’t have a legitimate wire diagram to hook a powered relay inline on a usb charger.

Anyone tap into the wire harness’s by the ecu? Didn’t want to tap into something sensitive to amp changes.

There are two fuse boxes back there and those are for all circuits on the bike. You could tap one of those wires but I'd try to tap in spot a distance away incase you ever need to repair a wire. There are also probably a couple open slots in one of those fuse boxes. You could make a dedicated fused circuit with one of those. I'd use the fuse box that is not for the ECU incase something blows up it's not in the ECU fuse box. The fuse box lids tell what circuits the fuses inside are for.

Where the lighter might have a mounting bracket, you would use 'goop' brand glue to mount the lighter at anyplace, any position of your choosing. Glue can be found at home-depot.

Where you'd sacrifice the male/female end of a fuse type connector end, that or swap the ground to the hot of the cig lighter... if need be, meaning. From the battery charger cable off the battery, you plug in your cig lighter harness to the battery. The built in fuse is not tied into the bike.

Where you buy a single or dual usb cig plug for the phone.
