Foot Shifter extender
09/29/20 7:39 AM

Hello, I have a 2020 zx14 and just got Knight design lowering pegs, Love em-Fit Great! However my foot hits the spring catch for the kickstand on the shifter side after adjusting it lower. Does anyone sell a foot shifter extender or new foot shifter the moves it out to the left? Ive searched quiet a bit but cannot find anything.
Thanks!
Joe

I don't know which Knight design you have, but if it like this one the leading edge is too square.

I've been using Buell Lightning foot pegs for 7 years with no problems. Kawasaki added the plastic sleeve to the kickstand spring because they knew we would be hitting it with our shoe.

I wear a size 10 shoe.
Others have added the Knight designed foot pegs. No one ever complained before.
Every "Mod" we do to our Bike brings a new challenge.

One Mod I did was to remove the nipple sticking off the kickstand. I don't miss it. Opens up the footwell to the shifter.

Thanks for the replies, Yes I got those Knight designs in black and love them. And I almost cut off that nubbin on the kickstand until I noticed that wasnt the problem, its the spring catch. Dont want to cut that. I put the sifter back to stock position and added this...

Seems to be ok, not great but I can live with it.

If I had lowered pegs I'd go thru shoes right and left... pun intended. Answer... adapt to the problem.

I have Murphs lowered pegs for a C14 Concourse on my 2008 ZX14. The shifter side is easy to deal with but the brake side could use an extension. My knees are happier so I will live with it.
