M109R listing on Tuesday
09/01/12 9:21 PM

I have been researching the ZX14R for over a year. Unfortunately all the lotto tickets I have purchased have been defective and I am still not a millionaire. Tuesday, if financing goes well, I will be listing my R1 and also my M109R for sale. I am very sad to have to part with the M109R. It has been a spectacular power cruiser. I think at this time the ZZR just fits what I want to do with a bike. I would like to do more long distance.
I know none of these bikes compare but there is still that nagging sensation I won't be completely satisfied with the ZZR and not having the M109R.
I have a deal set up with the deal getting a brand new black 2012 with the following accesories worked into the deal:
Is there anything I am forgetting?
1. Kaoko Throttle Lock Cruise Control

2. MRA TouringScreen Windshield for Kawasaki ZX14

3. SW-MOTECH Quick-Lock Sidecarrier

4. Oxford Hothands Essential Heated Overgrips

5. Givi V35 PLX Monokey Side Cases 34 Liter Black

6. Givi V46 Monokey Top Case 46 Liter Black

7. Givi V46 backrest pad

8. Center stand

What year R1? and where? I used to own a 9 bought a 14 while I owned it. 6 months later sold the 9, you won't miss it!

I very much considered the drop down pegs. I thought I would give it a chance before I changed that though. I am 6'2" yet I am not terribly uncomfortable on my R1. I actually took it on a 1000+ mile weekend ride once.

The R1 is a 2002 with a little over 42k miles. I am in California. My M109R is an 06 with just under 40k miles.

With all the luggage you're planning on gluing onto the 14R I'm surprised you aren't considering a C14.

I am not old enough for a C14. And The luggage is detachable for fun local rides.
When I got my DR650, I imagined all the roads and off roads I could explore. A fun ride on that one on the street ends the comfort at about 60 miles of road. Off road you can go a lot farther because you are standing most the time.
When I got the M109R, looking at Google maps was fun to imagine all the roads I could explore on that one. 400-500 miles in a day was not out of the question. I would be exhausted after a ride like that. My R1 is fine for long distance as long as i stop and stretch every 75 - 100 miles. I once did 900 miles in a weekend. I could barely walk afterwards though.
With this, I imagine cross country trips are not terribly far out of the question.
