Looking for a 2019
10/07/19 9:54 AM

After my trip next week, I'll have about 65K miles on my '12. It still runs great and makes only 2 hp less on the dyno than it did 60K miles ago. Truly a great motor. That being said, maybe it's time for a new one. I'm in S. Florida. I don't mind traveling to get a bike. Anyone know any dealers in Florida giving a big discount?

Thanks.

Pffft.... only 65k???
Mine has 10k more than that, still runs great. Save your money for tires and track days is my advice.

The new ones are no different than the first 2012's and up.How bout a much cheaper bodywork package?Maybe change out the reservoirs?Add some CF to her? That's what I did.Still mainly green though.I do like the new reservoirs. Now if they'd throw some stylemas on there...;)

If you don't mind a weekend drive these guys are pretty good on prices and no BS fees. I hadn't bought from a dealer since 1986 until I got my 2016 from them.

And I will 3rd Sportcycles of Rockingham NC: That's where I got my white '13 in '14. I think I paid $11,499 ... I know it was 11 something, and I think I balked when their eBay price was $11,499 then went to $11,999 by the time I called. They said Kawi's sale was off. I told them to call me if it ever comes back down to $11,499 and a couple weeks later they did. Best bike I've ever had. Kinda disappointed to not be able to find anything even close to replacing it, after all these years.

I bought my 2018 at that very location that the black and red one in the photo above is...Hollister Motorsports. I called the ENTIRE state of California looking for the right color scheme along with SE. I walked OTD at $12,900. I asked the salesman at least 3 times to tell just to reaffirm hahaha. Nobody could come within $2000 to Hollister's price...in the entire state of California.
You can find good deals all over you just have to put the time in looking. California just has really strict emissions laws so I couldn't find anything within the parameters for an out of state bike.
I have to agree with the other guys however...I'd rather go spend any money on tricking out what you already have.

I have a lowly 36k on my ‘12 and still running sweet although I think the rear shock is getting a bit tired of hauling round my 240+lb ass so I intend to either get it reworked by Maxtons or replace it altogether with one of their units this Winter. I’ve also thought recently about trading in for a new one but when I weigh up what extra I’ll gain vs the cost it doesn’t seem that good a deal. As Maddevill has mentioned above, the £££/$$$ You’ll save will buy tyres/fuel/oil/filters etc for a whole season! JMO

I'll 4th sports cycles. I bought a 2017 14r ABS SE in August 2018 for $10,998. That one was stolen April 2019 in Austin, Texas (I'm from Michigan). I called them the next morning from Texas and I bought another '17 from them for the same $10,998. Both times I flew in, rented a car and drove to Rockingham (Enterprise is about 2 miles up the road from them) and then rode them home. Great people to deal with.
