Riding

Just came back from a nice 120 mi round trip...short...but nice.Temps...35 degrees.Bike runs and handles so sweet.A real blast. The oil change with the 3100 Dino seems to be fine.No problems...engine runs smooth as butter...strong as an ox.Just a real joy to downshift through the gears.Accelerate out of the turns, downshift midcorner, leaned in and hit her hard for the straights...easing back to highway speed...she just purrs...seriously...purrs.In every gear...every rpm....even when she's 'screamin'...pipes are very cool...Torque....way cool.Everywhere...torque...horsepower.Smooth.Immediate.Very happy with my new bike....very.ZERO vibrations.Better feeling as the miles add on.Engine noise....quiet.Nicely quiet.Idle...smooth and steady....NO fluctuating.Nothing.Just runnin fine.

Gotta hand it to Kawi...a simple thing like headlamp illumination...low beams(my HID's)....the light is perfectly spaced on both sides, and focused right where it should be...no dark areas at all.PLENTY of coverage all the way out to I'd say...100 feet forward at least.Nice shaped pattern, kinda like a bowl.Straight across the top but open and wide enough to see fine on both sides without hitting the cages in the face and rear view.Didn't even need my brites on tonight....it was a nice change for sure.I won't be needing to adjust anything...factory setting is just right.

I bought the MRA spoiler screen...the one without the ducts in it....I don't think I'll be switching out from the stock screen anytime soon. The windflow is virtually perfect with the stocker.Smooth and non- buffeting.Higher speeds...amazingly calm.

I've logged almost 4k miles in 7 weeks. My only complaint is the TC2 kicks in too early on fast sweepers. Scared the beans out of me when it first happened. I run TC1 all of the time now. The slipper clutch saved my grits when I had to brake hard and downshift from 4th to 1st when a deer ran to the edge of the road. I was exiting a corner around 90 mph when all I see is a big tan figure coming toward me. Shifted to 1st while braking with zero bunny hop. Changed the boxers when I got home.

"Just added the PC w/Brock's map to my CT Smeg; very nice. It runs much smoother, pulls cleaner and crisper, and builds revs significantly faster. Very pleased".....yup....same here!!! Good thing she's got TC...ran her without it for a tad yesterday...tell ya what...if ya want wheelspin...and balls out wheelie action...this is yer setting!Just watch what kind of road surface yer on BEFORE you go to light the candle
