ECU program
08/07/13 1:55 PM

Ive been here looking reading and not saying much .......
I have been searching around for a solution to a leaning off situation on my bike whilst under constant load and constant throttle position...............
Whilst looking I came across some of the Woolich software and ecu rewriting kit.
I was wondering if anyone had any experience or comments about it.......
In the testimnials I notice a familiar looking bike and realise its Romans!!!!!!!LOL
So come on Rick what do you think to this method of tuning.......
(BTW I have just had to order a new oil pump.....bloody things....may go for the big one next time, good job I had a spare on the bike when it shit itslf on the motorway at the weekend!!!?)

Romans, how you doin?
Im wondering if I can pick your brains on how you have got on with the woolich software.
I have been looking at some other maps on the site and wonder if you use the TPS or the IAP to map.
TPS, ok usual way of tuning.
IAP, do you run a standard map sensor? do you have any one way valves in the system.....etc etc.....
can the parameters be moved as to where the iap operates......how do you map for boost with the standard setup?

what is your configuration....of parts please (you are the source of info on here!):)

Thanks again
GRIN

Shity, some how I found myself in Asbestos Removal job for 10-12 hours a night. I hate Night Shift.

Im wondering if I can pick your brains on how you have got on with the woolich software.

TPS, ok usual way of tuning.

I use both IAP and TPS.

do you run a standard map sensor? do you have any one way valves in the system.....etc etc...

Yes standard sensor. And yes I have a one way check spliced in to blind the Manifold sensor to Air Pressure increase

can the parameters be moved as to where the iap operates

No, but can be changed in the ECU as to the when and the where. What are you thinking 3 bar map sensor into ECU IAP ??? No can do,, or at least not inside the ECU.

How do you map for boost with the standard setup?(you are the source of info on here!):)

Grin I'm keeping it simple. Boost sensors adding fuel into the maps I'm sure would be better set up, but as you know more elbows in the pipe the easier it is to clog up the plumbing. Low boost High tech not required IMO. I'm running 9lbs and have not blow up yet so simple works,,,for now. Boost Greed has got me though,, my blow up is coming. Last ride 10 lbs with creep,,,,,eeeeek. I have purchased all parts for my new low compression build but motor working to dame good to tear it down just yet. Sorry could not be of more help.

Dont evy you on that one! The night shifts I have worked have all been quite relaxed if you knoow what I mean!

I too have the standard MAP sensor with a check valve from a VW, I also have a bleed back to atmosphere to
allow the map sensor to go back to atmospheric.....
Thing is on an almost closed throttle it keeps going really lean it must pulling on the map sensor as it increases vacuum....would you agree?
Do you have anything on the T from...one way to vacuum, one way to MAP sensor, and one way to atmo, any filter or what? or do you use the original little blue and white valve, mine was faulty?

I also have a Pectel ecu that I have had for a while now. Got a loom comming for a Subaru. Im going to look at the feasability of using that..........

Apparently many of the Kawasakis in British superbikes use them.....and elswhere around the world.

Seasons greetings
