Plugs
08/01/11 10:40 PM

Installed new stock plugs last night.Took er out today....runnin....shweeet!The ones I took out upon inspection showed the tiny electrode tip was actually beginning to deform and "bend" to one side...the pointy tip in there.Kinda developing a "hook".She's way smoother and "immediate" now.15,348 miles on these last ones.Low rpm,idle....much "stronger" sounding and power feels "stronger" throughout the rev range.

I want to say...I don't know what the service life of these plugs are...the stock fitments. But I will say...for any of you out here that have been experiencing a buzz or vibe(s) beginning to "increase" for no apparent reason over time....you might want to consider changing out to a fresh set.My bike engine is running so smoothly...it really IS noticeable with these new plugs. She idles much smoother...I won't be getting a throttlebody synch any time soon. The response while accelerating and "cruising' and shifting are exremely smooth now.Yes...it made that much of a difference...and I really wasn't expecting it to be as good as it turned out.I thought my bike was running really well. And the other plugs still looked okay except for the tiny "hooking" of the sharp electrode tip.Otherwise...they probably could have kept working'almost' okay.

I won't be waiting 15,000 miles again,that's for sure.
