Just realized I havent been updating this. I rode it around for 2 weeks or so on the base map, just babying it everywhere. He was having a bunch of computer issues with his dyno, they sent him a new program, everything seemed to be working fine, so I went in for my final tune.
He worked on the tune for awhile, did 2 WOT pulls, and then the computer locked up on him again. (whole new computer is now on the way) He still went ahead and continued with Wideband tuning, but no dyno numbers after those 2 pulls. 2 pull was nice and smooth, still pretty rich at that point, and did 277whp/136wtq. This is only on the 6psi spring the kit came with too. He was pretty shocked. He said he was only expecting about 260 on 6lbs, but with the port and polished head, degreed cams and so on, he said hes not going to argue it either. lol I do plan on going back in a week or so when hes got the new computer all set up. His old computer went completely blank, and wouldnt even recognize his hard drive, he was livid, he might of lost ALL of the tune files hes made over the last 5-6 years on that dyno. Supposedly they said they will be able to pull them back off onto another computer, but hes not happy for now.
I have had a little bit of smoke pop up twice on me shortly after starting the bike, so I am looking into scavenge pumps. I also make a 90 off the turbo, so the hose doesnt drop down and back up like it use to, to see if that helps for the time being.
Bike runs smooth as hell, pulls HARD, and feels very tame. With the +1 front, and being about 8inchs longer right now, it feels less scary than my old setup with nitrous (-1 front and stock wheel base). That was a wheelie monster, and I had to shift a lot faster.
Im kinda torn on if im going to go back to the stock front sprocket. Right now if I want to do a 60mph run, I need to go to 2nd gear and it puts me around 6k rpms, and it pulls like a freight train, so I love it. But if im only doing about 70-75 on the highway, its kinda low of an rpm for 6th, and I almost like being in 5th more if there is traffic around me. I dont mind 6th at 70 if im out in the middle of nowhere. When I go back in a week or so, I may have him make me a map for the stock front sprocket as well, so I can test it out. I wont truely know which one I like better on this setup, until I try them. But at the same time, we might also bump it up to 8lbs as well (actually the spring says its a 8.5 to be specific), so I have a tune for that also. Who know, I might prefer stock front with only 6lbs, but +1 front when Im on 8lbs.
All in all, LOVE it. Im gonna order a new gasket for the clutch cover though, Im getting a little "tiny" bit of condensation. So I may swap that out when I change the oil here shortly.
Just yesterday I trimmed the lower fairings for it, and put those back on. Ive been leaving them off, so I can keep a close eye on everything.
