Looks fairly cool.I'd try one.BUT...no buying without a trial first.I like the speedo display showing.I'm bad about glancing at my speeds when cornering.I shouldn't be doing that.Always somewhat uncomfortable with it.

A lot of us with over 40 eyes are going to have a hard time with that.

Map with speed and call Id is cool too. The guy that did the review is 55, and didn't say anything about being hard to see, but everyone's vision is different. Impossible to try it out without mounting it to a helmet, and the price.

$700 doesn't surprise me for a product like this first coming out. I was thinking about this while riding today and
I am a bit skeptical. First and foremost, I couldn't possibly read a tiny display like that up close because my corrective lenses for distance are too strong. I could see it just fine without my lenses but then I'd be blind as a bat for distance. Also, even with perfect vision, if you are focussed on something 4 inches away, everything beyond 12 inches away will be so out of focus, you might as well not even know it's there (try holding something 4" from you face and see what everything else looks like). Finally, I think the issue is more the use of full face helmets restricting our field of vision than it is not being able to see the instrument cluster without moving our head. I do drop my head a couple inches when I look at the instruments because the chin guard of my full face helmet is in the way. ...but if I have my head dropped, I can still glance forward and see the road. If it weren't for the chin guard, I would shift my eyes to see the instruments just as easily as I would to see the HUD. So if you are unaware of what is happening in your field of vision because you have shifted your eyes down and to the right to focus on one tiny spot that is 4 inches in front of your face, is that safer than shifting your eyes down and center to focus on something 2 feet away? I know HUDs work for fighter pilots but they are flying in the open air pretty much. Not so with a motorcycle (we hope).

I guess I'm saying I could live without this quite easily. It's cool enough to have just because it's COOL but I couldn't see it anyway.
