Why sell Sharkey? An extra one or you're going with different fuel management?

Hay mass.
I hadn't checked this ad for a while. Kinda giving up on it.
After asking a lot of questions and getting input I'm pretty well convinced that the Auto Tune can never give you better than a mediocre performance. The suggested inputs are aimed at preset values which have to be somewhat of a compromise for the unit to be "universal." I think a good map, something with a little passion in it, has radical departures from the conservative map Auto Tune is shooting for. I started a thread and have yet to hear anything from the Auto Tune users other than..."its OK."
I'm using a map by jeffo right now and it's much more dynamic than the map I had from Muzzy. Just looking at the two maps side by side you can see that jeff marches to a different drummer! It's a different approach with a different result.
I putting a 43 tooth sprocket on with my new wheels, I'm going to have jeffo remap for me after I get a feeling for it.
The only problem I still have is the little thrust you get when rolling the gas back on, usually when leaned over and entering a corner. I can control it pretty well so as to not loose traction but It does cause a little hesitation as I feel for that spot where it turns the gas back on so I can accelerate. Jeffo has helped negate this in the map but I'm sure it can't be eliminated by mapping.
I'm looking at Ivans006a unit which is supposed to be specific for this problem. I'd like to try the Ivan map too but he wants you to but $200 of stuff before you can get a map. There isn't $200 worth of stuff I want from his site.
I've got this on e-bay too. Idunno I might just end up with it. I did put a bung on my exhaust before I had it ceramic coated. Some day I might decide I want Auto Tune.

Boy am I dumb!
I just explained why I sold the Auto Tune!
I got the PCV and AutoTune as a package. I sold the Auto Tune on e-bay, so now I have left the PCV.
I have a PCIII on my bike and I'm very happy with it. I like the ability to graph two maps superimposed to see differences. You can't do that with the PCV. I'd rather use the money for something else.

I would grab a new PCV for $100 off instead of buying a new PCIII. The PCV is capable of a bit finer adjustment. You can't go wrong with either one.

I've decided to lower the price...
$195
If I can't sell it at that price I'll keep it.

Hey Sharkey-I'm runnin the flies out,PCIIIusb,16/42 with TiForce slips.I've NEVER had a on/off throttle issue with mine.Even when she was all stock. It should be able to be smoothed out.Didn't "jerk" stock, didn't have that problem with the Dynojet map,and don't have that going on at all with Jeff's map.Hope ya get it sorted out!(also 4 degrees timing advance).

Yea Blue, the map I got from Jeff helped a lot. I'm probably making a bigger deal out of it than I should. I don't really have a problem out on the road, on corners and all. I've started running at higher RPMs so the shut off doesn't come into play. It's parking lot speeds that get me. I guess the bike doesn't like going that slow!
How much of an effect does that timing advance have? (across the board)

Ya-at parking lot speeds-she is a tad sensitive! The advancer works good-you can feel a difference in engine response-that's for sure.As far as "across the board"-I'm "guessing"it automatically advances the 4 degrees above any factory position no matter where the rpms are at?(I don't think the ECU "knows" it's advanced)?Response is quick and immediate-you can feel it everytime you shift and power out or just twist the wrist and go.

^^I noticed on /off throttle was improved a lot from stock with both of the maps i have used. It was very touchy even at low rpm on the stock map.
