Yo Rook...you do know that with a 17/45 gearing combo yer gonna lose substantial top end performance,ie,rpm's are gonna wind out real quick. That's why I went back to 16/42 before...6th gear just came around too fast with a 16/43...but I'm gonna run it again for a while...maybe just to use up this rear tire.

Yeah. I wouldn't call it a loss of top end performance as much as I would call it more readily available peak hp and lower top speed. I don't mind. I doubt I will go over 70 mph on the street, of course. I suppose it will still do 170 if I can get it to a fast track. I won't mind if I have to reorder something like a 42T. I sort of would like to get a Renthal on there anyway. Like the look. The Renthal was not available in 45T so I went Vortex 45T. Nice blue anodized but I'm thinking that might be best just white like the wheel is supposed to end up getting painted.

White wheel, white sprocket and blue chain maybe?--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
But you already have a blue sprocket and a chrome chain.

No way would I be buying new stuff before I even try the stuff I have. Glad we have paint! heh- I've decided the whells will be powdercoated which means I will be waiting until the new tires are cooked. Then we'll make them white before the new set of tires goes on. Everything will stay as is for now---at least in terms of color. I'd like to get a blue TSUKIGI vinyl made for the lowers.
ok--ok. I have a little trouble making up my mind when I'm passionate about stuff (not the reason I'm divorced, BTW). I do own a busa and a 14. That's the proof.
