Thanks for posting this, Hub.

I had decided that if nobody else posted here by the weekend, I would shut this section down. Wasn't sure it was a good idea... -bg

No controversy. I had just noticed that Hub had not set up an avatar yet here... -bg

Hub, when I read your profile it brought back so many memories, my first bike was a X-6 Hustler. I also tuned it myself. Did you have problems with the head gasket blowin? Can't beleive how many times I had to tear that thing down!

So is this bike for a flat track race or a road race or ???. Harleys used to do pretty well at flat track, but that was 50 years ago <grin>... -bg

Hub; I was in a buddies machine shop last month when a guy brought in a head from a 50s Harley. It was modified at the factory for a flat tracker. Changed into a hemi and smoothed with brass(?). He was rebuilding the bike for vintage racing but couldn't lap the valves because of the bizarre angle, so he brought it to my buddy. Pretty interesting.

Before your criticize someone, walk a mile in their shoes. That way, when you do criticize them, you're a mile away and have their shoes.
