Connector / plug under seat - what is it?

I am just getting to know my new bike, and I noticed a connection (not connected to anyyhing) under the seat, and wondered what it is. Anyone know what it is?

That there is the diagnostic/immobilizer kind of diagnostic plug. Finds past history or current codes for FI/ABS/Immobilizer.
