Recommend you lurk a while, and read the existing posts, and use the Search feature.

Ceramic coatings have been covered in quite some detail, no need to repost it all again. :)

I have a system that is ceramic coated and I'm going to start the install today. I doubt I will notice much dif at this time of year. with the weather we have now, even the stock header uncoated doesn't give off much heat. I hope I have some sort of idea how well it works before putting the bike away.

That problem will never go away until you ditch the stock cans. Get rid of them first and I bet you won't have an issue with heat from the headers.

After ceramic coating you can touch the headders, just after turning off the engine, without burning your hand! That's pretty good evidence!
As privateer sez...I've made dozens of entries to praise the ceramic coating upgrade.

Oh, and definitely lose the stock cans. Way too hot with those cats in there!

NOTE: The '06 does not have a cat in the header. I think it was added for the '07 and up. Not sure how the coating will affect the cat. Might just block it up completely.

The cat in the header was added in 08 and 09 and have no doubt, 010. 06-07 has 1 cat in each muffler only.

Ceramic coating is like oil and tire threads. can there ever really be enough of those?
