I have been looking at turbo kits for a minute and have found some good deals recently and i just want to know is it really worth the hassle and will it take the fun out of my bike.

i found a bigg cc kit that can be sinstalled for around 2500 bucks. i thought it would be good deal when u figure youspend abour 1500 on a full exhaust and a power commander

i ride my 14 to an from work and on the weekends out of town for maybe a 2-3 hr rides...

how will a turbo affect my mpg and engine wear....

If you can buy the kit AND have it installed and professionally tuned for 2500 bucks thats a screaming deal......I would jump on that. I'm in the process of installing a turbo kit on my 14 at the moment, and while its not extremely hard, its quite time consuming, and its not easy finding a good shop to tune the bike. This is my 2nd turbo bike. A well set up turbo 14 will run like a raped ape, and last a long time if you treat it right, and stay on top of the little things, like making sure hoses and vacuum lines (and pretty much everything else lol) stay tight/crack/leak free and connected, and run high quality, high octane gas at all times. And watch out for extended high speed wide open throttle runs......they can be engine killers. And ask the shop what plug gap they recommend you run for the type of turbo kit you're running. Also be sure you have a boost and fuel pressure gauge, and a wideband air/fuel/ratio gauge wouldn't hurt either
