Okay here is the profile of this convict.
My family line were among the first to come to America - (the second ship over to the 13 colonies). During the Revolutionary War they went north to Canada as United Empire Loyalists.
Due to the gold Rush of 1898 one member - my great grandfather- came west.
As an eventual result I was born in Calgary Alberta Canada. I spent time as a yoot rolling around the Canadian prairies and the west coast. University years took me to Greenville SC USA and parts of the east coast of the US. Finished up in Vancouver BC.(Simon Frazer University).
Went to university only to get a ticket to do something beyond art which I intended to pursue and knew was risky.
Began an art career after university which continues to this day, but took some time out (6 years) in the 80's to teach school on the largest Indian reserve in the Canadian arctic. Fun times and got to see some amazing country which I still frequent.
Spent time since wandering N America painting and raising a family from the coin.
Have three kids all married and popping babies. Been married since 1972 to the same gal from Belfast Northern Ireland ..from a county my great grandfather on my father's side, came from.
Been riding bikes from the 70's, Dropped it during the family years although did have a 250 Suzuki dirt bike in the 80's.
Tried the cruiser thing when I got older thinkiing I should slow down. Was incredibly boring and way more dangerous than sport bikes.
A black and silver 06/ZX14 is my present ride.
I generally make one or two long haul runs (7-10K miles) a year on my 14 so who knows I may come blasting through a section of your country some time soon.
IF topics in this or any other forum swing towards things spiritual I will voice a Christian view point - a position strongly held after a lot of examination. I have been involved with the Calvary Chapel movement, begun among the California dreaming hippies of the late sixties and seventies, for the past 15 or so years.
God bless.
graeme

Graeme:

Thanks for your post.

My wife and I have been with Calvary Chapel since the 70's as well. We were with Mike MacIntosh at Horizon Christian Fellowship (really a Calvary Chapel) in San Diego for many years, and then moved to Grand Junction about 20 years ago. We are now with Calvary Chapel Grand Junction.

I believe that select20 is also with a Calvary Chapel. -bg

Cool. Good to know there are others here who are involved with CC. Maybe we should start the "CC" riders club ..lol.

Thanks for sharing your "Journey" painterdude!! It is always interesting to see how our experiences have contributed to who, and where we are now...and in particular in our own corner of the "cyber-verse!!"
I worked for a time in Carmacks, The Yukon...my sister having settled there...went to school in New Aiyansh, BC in the Nisga'a Nation..some interesting country and people...

Bless you and ride happy and safe :)

Actually my aunt passed on the family records to me. They have been kept up forever in our family. Don't know why.
Kindah cool to see that among your ancestors there are people like George Washington, General Lee,Webster (the statesman), Eli Whitney, William Wallace (of Brave Heart fame) Robert the Bruce, the Queen of England..etc etc ..then reaching back ..way back ...through Wales through France, over to North Afrioa
to find ..
someone
from the Moors
out of North Africa
is planted back there
in your family the line.

humm..

and I still

can't

jump ..

(Guess my Moorish ancestor guy must be too distant to give me a lift!!)
