and these kids drive me nuts leaving stuff EVERYWHERE! If I'm not following behind them every second, the place looks like a landfill. I'm messy enough all by myself but at least I can remeber where I put stuff (95% of the time).

Oh, you love it. Tell them to clean up the mess or we all go to the batroom wit the lids down!

Look at our 3 holes.

1. Water drain: is an empty hole for faster flow, not a hose clogging up the rust build.
2. Vapor drain: why would you let that hole stay open for what? A yellow hose is THAT hole? NO!
3. Yellow line: I want my air right under the cap, not down a hole you tapped off at the back of the tank!
4. WEIGHT!!!: WHY would I leave the lid down if I can take it the fuck OFF!!

A. I eliminated the whole hose/canister/pump/hose drain/hose suck at the pump/vapor hose from canister up to the throttle bodies?
B. I have hose after hose after weigh them all up is a plug at the back of the right side tank, leave the water drain hose on the left rear tank alone.
C. I plug the right side so no dirt/no backwash/comes up that hole is close it the fuck FOR FUCK SAKES OFF!
D. I now Corey Wrap the yellow hose around the inner housing to tank is leave it long so dirt clings to the walls before it enters the cap.
E. I'd have a cotton ball zipped to the yellow hose end and call it a fucking day... Go play with the kids before you start giving them away at their wedding... time flies.

OK Hub, we leave the water drain open, block the vent hole, wrap the yellow tube around the inner housing of the gas cap. Now we can still drain water and there will be no problem with air moving through the yellow tube. Plenty of air slips past the gas cap ring, it has no gasket, only the filler neck has a gasket. We zip tie a wad of cotton at the end of the yellow hose to filter any dust that may otherwise enter the yellow tube. One problem, now if there is a fuel overflow, it will wash around the floor of the fuel cap ring recess until it finds it's way out the water drain hole. That's a tiny paint damage risk, fuel laying in the gas cap ring. Also, if we have a canister and system of hoses to recover overflows and vapors, why not use it rather than let the overflow drip out on the road?

"Also, if we have a canister and system of hoses to recover overflows and vapors, why not use it rather than let the overflow drip out on the road?"

1. You could leave it on? Then keep the stock cap so it is sealed from the rain vent. It will still fly up past the yellow tube and out the water drain.

2. You do not top off the tank and let it sit in a hot area like in direct sun; be it a closed shed; it's still sits in the ambient. That is still going to flow out from expansion. So now when I top off and know when I close the cap I am off to empty it way out of the neck and not top it off and head home with that high a full tank... Summer time blues is the possible puddle on the floor.

3. You can keep filling tank up to the neck, lick the bottom of the aftmkt housing, and have yet to slosh out gas that high when leaving the station. No hard braking, no upsetting that high a fill says no water drain out of the tube. Only except that one time it was topped off too high and sat in a hot garage and expanded its way out to the water drain.

4. You walk up to the imaginary medicine cabinet, open the door after looking in the mirror and saying, "I lost more weight, I lost more weight' and you gulp down the pills. Man, am I not about to run and brake like an idiot... Who the fuck needs the pills then? And then you close the medicine cabinet and then say, "I got my scale out, I got my scale out and weighted my drain hose and safety net."

You got it yet? Join the club. Keep it low in the tank when parked in a hot environment. Top it off past the filler neck for more feet to yards to miles out of that cap full. Vapor says I cleaned the vap with a canister, and if you think I can create or destroy matter thru a filter? Then the theory is flawed is it don't matter.

haha--ok. You know I'm always in no matter how small a weight loos. I bet that canister and hoses weighs about a pound. Some day I will pull all that stuff out and we'll do the good old fashioned hole in the filler neck with cotton in the tip of the yellow tube breather mod! For now, it's in the breather. It fits tight and seals nicely and should work the same as OEM.

Is it time now? I think so. Haven't heard this one in a while. Cue up Wrong Hole by DJ Lubel.
