G'Day Cooldaddygroove,
Did you need to cut the rear seat cover on the 14 installation?
Any closer pics available?

Yes, you need to cut the passenger seat cowl in order to fit the SW-Motech Sport Rack, plus you need to order a small body piece that fits above your tail light which is designed for Euro spec bikes that have the grab handle. Easy find.

This is the pic of the Quick Detach Soft Luggage rack that connects to the Sport Rack using 3 Dzus style fasteners. Takes all of 30 seconds to install/remove

I went with the Kriega soft bags because I had multiple bikes at the time. If I ever sell the big Zed I don't have to worry about getting luggage as they swap easily from bike to bike. I like the fact if I want to carry something smaller like puncture kit/hat/water I can leave that in the 10L or 20L bag and strap it to the tail. That usually entails riding the twisties while the rest of the luggage is back in the hotel to include the tank bag. I hate riding with a backpack when I do trips so I never bring one.

I don't have to worry about two up riding also :)

Yes, you need to trim off a few inches of the cowl as the SW Motech rack overlaps it a little

Hey guys
So I have a 2016 ZX14R SE (Euro Spec - with the grab handle). I was looking at some luggage options and I just love the setup that cooldaddygroove and trailboss have on their rides! I am looking at installing the SW Motech street rack, but I would love to keep the cowl on.

@cooldaddygroove @trailboss I'd really appreciate it if you could attach some pictures of how the cut out cowl looks like, also some guidance on how you managed to get such a neat cut (noob here). You can reach me at rkjfreebies@gmail.com

thanks!

Just thought I'd chime in on this, as my Kaiju came with a nice set of Givi hard bags. Profile pick does the setup some justice. 38L per bag (yeah), really sturdy and well made rack, and an ass that even Sir Mixalot would appreciate. I would post a pic of her badonkadonk, but alas...

Do these bags make my ass look fast?
