I've ordered a set of Metzeler z8, 190/55 and also want a steel 43 rear sprocket. A local guy has a 2012 zx14r and put 180/55 with 43 rear. He said it's won't work because of TC, it stumbled at low speeds. If it will work, I need a steel 43 rear sprocket. How makes one?

I ran a 180/55 with no issues. If he says the 190/55 wont work just fine hes trying to sell you something

The tire size won't matter, if you have 2012 or newer some say they have experienced stuttering when adding teeth to the rear sprocket size. So if you go up from 42 to 43 you may have stuttering issues or you may not. Some say they get it some say they don't.

If you go 43 in the rear, go one down in the front if you get the stutter ....
