I'm jealous. However, I'll be there in Sept again with my 85 year old dad on his 400 Ninja that he rides the shit out of, my son on his new Z900, and maybe a couple others. We'll see.

Nice. Is the Foothills Parkway speed limited like the Blue Ridge Pky? Just curious. Been up there quite a few times but never made to Foothills.

Gotcha ... the BRP is 45 IIRC, but that doesn't stop some, uh, slightly higher speeds from time to time. You know, 46 or 47

I think it's great. It's looooong ... 469 miles. So you can get on it, and just ride and ride and ride, with smooth pavement, limited traffic, great views, and stop to sleep at places along the way, cabins or tents, whichever you prefer.
