Great vid HUB!!Thanks-however-I'm not clear on what I saw.Did the 07(06)collector fitting allow the larger diameter pipe to fit okay?Is that what it was there?

Look/Stop at the 15 second mark.

Up to now, the parts trivia from '06 to '09, are the exhaust cans all fit any year header.

The 15 second mark shows you how/why they fit between years = Gasket O/D of both the mid-gasket of the exhaust system, call it; shows why all year [mufflers] will fit any rear exhaust header.

Therefore, you see the collectors are matched and we are in the expansion as if there were no cat disrupting the flow = The collector necks are different diameter for the mid-cat in the header.

There are a total of 3 cat-honeycombs. You lost zero HP between the narrow neck and the cat with the larger neck. Data is why I run cats. Even the narrow neck shows no seat of the pants improvement or loss of performance. It is just a pound-tq different in the ECU, not the mufflers system between years.

Okay-good-so if I want to mount a slip-on midpipe designed for an 08 stock system,I should be able to have the slipon/midpipe fit okay(seeing,if anything, the "08"larger diameter midpipe(for the slipon)will fit over the smaller 07 collector end).Okay-Thanks HUB.

Correct... 10 years down the road, the trivia up to this point in date and time is that any slip-on you find used on ebay or used period, be it the OEM mufflers or any aftermarket 'slips' for any year ['06-'09 that is]... She will slip on the same O/D [header with gasket on] like a slip her.

Slip her the big pipe is ...... Wait a minute.... How did we get away from the thread?
