After a long ride I stopped for a break. Getting on the bike again I turned on the key and NOTHING happened.
Normally the red and green panel lights go on but not now. Of course, the start button didn't work.
But my radar detector, hard wired directly to the battery was working.
An hour later, after contacting AAA, I gave it a try and the lights came on and it started and ran.
I cancelled AAA and rode home without stopping.
Is there a relay involved? Or maybe the key switch?
I can't see riding the bike until something is found to be failed.

Pull the battery. See if the ground cable is coated with white acid powder.

AAA started it, it means nothing to swap out, change. Star with the battery and report.
