Bunz, Can you shoot me a picture of how you wired your front axel? Did you go to one pinch bolt..two pinch bolts ? Both sides ??
When I ran the Mojave Mile, I got longer pinch bolts and safetywired teh back side but tech said he would prefer I did the axel Not quite sure what they want??

I've been busy with hurricane stuff and just saw this. Have fun Mr Mouse and come back with a 200+ report.
I can only imagine the "stuff" ..Hope you and yours are all well.. I will do my best 'cause I REALLY want the shirt ;)
Git it, chrly! We're anxiously awaiting the full report. Love to watch video if you are filming.
Hopefully I will have some decent vids.. I run a camera so I can watch tach and speedo afterwards.. lo-tech..:)

BTW I am leaving in the morning and if anyone lives between Sacramento and Denver and would like to say hi..Let me know.. I will be traveling I-80 probably but could go US 50 also .
Bought a small van for work( smaller truck=smaller jobs:) but before I did, I did some measuring ..Tigh but it is going to work..Obviously I am not a megabucks racer LOL
Left me about as much room as my Bunk aboard the USS Ticonderoga !!
Thankfully, the doors are made to allow an extra three inches of load...
Departing on the morrow.

Well.... Friday was interesting lots of runs morning was nice got a little windy after 11am . I made my first qualifying run @182 and that allowed me to advance to class A license. Took a while to get use to shorter shutdown length..A bit exciting seeing those flashing lites comong at me as fast as they did :)
made a LOT of runs today with somewhere ariund a dozen in the the 190 to 192 range with best of the day at 192.8 actually my best mph on a bike anywhere so that was good..Got help from a lot of people.. made a new map, changed gearing. The wind came up so it was difficult understanding the results.. gonna hit it hard tomorrow..;)

Rook I am home now in California.. I was so wiped out physically that I loaded up Sat evening and came home Sunday. Could not do better than 192.8 I just could not pull all the things together that are absolutely necc for a perfect run..And wind was a lil bit of a factor. No tail winds at all during my runs and lots of side winds.
However I did have help with the heat factor...
I had friends show up Sat Morning from Illinois, Montana and my excellent umbrella girl was from Denver ... It was great to have the help..but I was still physically done by Sat nite.. Loaded the van Sat nite and left Denver at 5 am, got home 1200 miles later at 2230..
Will have video later

I've been hearing Gearing Commander is a great tool but it's not the real world. Looking at gearing and tire combos, I'd say they are rather optimistic in their top speed calculations. It's tough to get a bike over 190. You have to have something sneaky on your side.
Next time--NOS! You'll get your 200 and then some.
Safe trip, got to open it up, didn't end up in jail. Good job!

No Nos Rook...I just have to learn to ride better as the bike is capable, given my size especially.. . Gearing commander is a great tool but understanding conditions at teh track are much more important..It does no good to change gears if you pull back onto the track only to run into a headwind that was not there last time..:)
I copied this off a post on my group site , wocriders.com
"Wow..I dont even know how to start...Still in recovery mode :) Nothing broke and noone got hurt, at least in our lil group .. Tried everything I could and had help tuning etc but 192.8 was the best run on Sat also .. dozen runs within 2.8 miles of that but just could not <launch, get feet on pegs, get head on tank, shift, straighten out the bike, shift, peek over the tach to see where I am on track, put head back down, shift, keep butt back, shift, forget the side wind, shift, Hope I will see speed trap while tucked ...THEN START SITTING UP AND APPLYING BRAKES 'cause those flashing LEDS are getting REALLY CLOSE !!! LOl.. actually had a lot of room to stop but I still got a whole lot nervous everytime I got out of the throttle, applied a bit of rear brake then lots of front brake then LOTS of front brake LOL Fun time....;)
A really special thanks to Terry, Tell, Brian and Jenni ( Jenni had everyone at the track thinking I was " Somebody" )
