Set up for the fatboy
06/19/17 4:41 PM

So I weigh 360, have a PC5,Yoshimura R77 full system with carbon muffler, baffle out of course. Doing an 8 over stretch,2 or 4 inch drop (undecided),new chain and sprocket set with stock gearing and dyno tune next week. So looking for advice from anyone on suspension set ups to not rub a hole in the undertail or rip off the lowers, especially if you're a heavy guy with experience but welcome all input. Not looking to go to the strip but mainly cruising, freeway rolls and some abandoned industrial areas. Thanks guys

Talk to Racetech or Traction Dynamics and get the correct F and R springs for your mass. Front forks will need to come out and apart so get new gold valves too and full service. If you dont have the suspension set up for you in the lowered configuration it could be sort of dangerous.

I think the stretch is going to tax the rear shock more than SWB. I think you're going to want some kind of aftermarket shock with proper spring. If you are riding the the front right now and not bottoming, you will be ok.

Yeah I have it set where I don't come close to bottoming out right now bit it would be like a spring board to a small person but it's smooth to me, that's why I'm torn between 2 or 4 inch drop
