Has anyone used bar risers on their 14R and did they make an appreciable difference? I'm thinking in particular about the Genmar Risers ZX14R RISERS. Just trying to get a slightly less prone riding position, sort of somewhere in-between a 14R and a Concours1400. The risers only lift the bars up 25mm and back 16mm which doesn't sound much. They're also nearly £100 over here so I don't want to blow that sort of cash if they're not adequate.

I'm using 2-Genmars stacked and released the brake hose from the triple tree.
I suggest Apex Mfg risers. They are fully adjustable. My next purchase.

Fazer has a nice set of risers. He's running em on his 14. They look goooooood!

I have the Genmar risers on my bike. I ran for a while without, then with, they will stay on now. I'm 6-2 and the risers are more comfortable to me, money well spent.

I have Heli bars, and it does make some difference, not drastic, but I think it is
worth it.

I think the Gen mars are a little taller ? some people stack them, maybe look on
craigslist (or what ever you have there) and see if you can get some good used ones ?

I use 1.25 inch risers from ebay. Made an outstanding difference!

I machined my own. They work great

Thanks guys. I've just found these ZX14Risers.
There 5mm taller than the Genmars. Can't actually find a UK seller of these but after postage+tax+import duty they're still cheaper than the Genmar's over here so looks like a done deal.

Pegscraper, I bought those kind off ebay. The only thing I did was have a friend machine the middle out so I can access the fork adjusters. Otherwise I love them.

Are you saying you can't get to the adjusters without modding the tops of the risers? I was under the impression that the polished caps were just push-in covers to fill the hole?

Dang, those risers on eBay are close to my house, and I didnt even know about them at the
time I bought my Heli-bars !

There may be some good used Heli-bars for sale soon LOL !
