Side stand strength
11/28/18 3:21 PM

Hi everyone
I've just taken my zx14 for its yearly safety check, to check head bearing they pulled the bike over on its side stand, just wondering if this is the usual way of checking them? Seems a lot of weight on the stand?

Not a problem. It's one way of doing it.

Yep that side stand will definitely support the entire weight of the bike and then some. I’ve balanced it over on it and spun the bike around plenty of times.

I would worry about the strength of your license plate. Because when you pop wheelie, and license plate comes into contact with the ground, how strong is it really? Oh shit, just another thing to worry about.
