Got my ZX10 fender painted today.. Wil let it dry overnite then finish it up tomorrow and maybe get it installed.. Color looks pretty good in the garage. We shall see when mounted and rolled out into the sun..Yes... we have sun today :)

I can't believe how huge the stocker looks when you have the two side by side..I always thought pics of teh ten on the 14 made it look two small but having both here has changed my mind,,

Does this help with cooling? I figured it might let more air into the radiator.

The reason I made the change was solely for ascetics and was very pleased when I experienced no negative performance side affects at all.

The only thing I did notice was after the change the forks were not quite as protected as with the larger stock fender but again I have not noticed any issue with this.

A Yanna Shiki fender isn't as strong but it fits to the stock brackets. It's a little weird how they molded the parallel bolt head surface to a not parrallel fender but it fits fine and it is super light weight. 15.6 oz. DO NOT use stock U-nuts. DO use lock-Tite and DO NOT tighten more than barely snug. It will crack if you do any of those DO NOTs. I've added aluminum fender washers to mine on both sides of the plastic too. I cracked two of these now and they are no longer only $60.

I'm sure the stock fender has better aeros but I've never noticed any problem with mine and it's been up to 180 mph.

Does the ZX10 fender sit lower than the stock 14 fender? I'm asking because I intend to lower My bike.

I guess every millimeter would count if you raise the forks but I doubt there is a lot of difference with a ZX-10 fender compared to stock. By photos, my Yanna Shiki fender appears to have the same clearance as the OEM fender.

I am looking for a source because i dont have access to the tools needed to make them your own. Anybody have a pair or know where i can get?

Hey does it matter the year of the fender? I have a 08 and been wanting to do the zx10 swap. By the way I have been lurking around this forum for awhile now and never posted because I could always find answers to what I'm looking for. What's up everybody!

Yannih, thanks I did check out that post but it doesn't say which years so I am going to assume any year zx10 fender will fit my '08 14

Purchasing the matching 06-07 ZX-10 Candy Plasma Blue front fender was no problem.

As far as I am aware all ZX-10 fenders DO NOT fit the 14.
I wrote the above in the link I sent you so you will be safe if you pick up an 06-07 ZX-10 fender...

Here is one I found but it doesn't look like it has the skirts that go over the forks. You think this will work?
