Looking for other ZX14 riders in the foothills of North Carolina to ride with. I am located in Hickory but I do a lot of riding in the mountains and on the Blue Ridge Parkway. Planning a trip to The Tail of the Dragon in the Fall.

I have just signed up to this forum, first post. I have just purchased a new 2011 ZX14 and I live in Maiden NC which is about 30 min south of Hickory. I would be interested in riding. I am not a fast twisty rider but enjoy riding up around Blowing Rock and elsewhere in the mountains. Reply if you are interested.

Very interested in riding. Just did a 260 mile solo mountain trip yesterday. It would be nice to have some people to ride with.

I live about 20 miles South of Asheville and every ride I take has some twists involved. Always looking for some others to ride with up here.

I'll be heading close to your area in two weeks. Taking a trip to Deal's Gap. Just bought a Bull Dog trailer restraint for the bike so I can trailer it to Robinsville then spend a couple of days riding the Tail of the Dragon and other roads in the area. If the weather is good tomorrow several of us are riding up hwy 80 up to the parkway and then head north maybe to hwy 181. I was up in Asheville a couple weeks ago on the parkway and got behind a new green 2012 ZX14 near the Pisgah Inn. I was nice seeing another ZX14 out.

Sorry, was out of town for a bit. Have you finalized your plans for the "dragon". I was hoping to go there again this fall before it gets too cold. If you havn't been there before, also ride 28 from Deals Gap to Walhala,SC. A whole lot less trafic and lots of fun twists. If you have been there you rode part of it (hellbender)ends up at Deals which is the last part of 28. If weather coops, I hope to be there 12th or 13th(day trip for me).

I'll be there somewhere between the 14th and the 18th. Haven't made reservations yet, waiting to see which days the weather will be the best.

Well if I delay mine due to weather a day or so, I'll be looking for a "blue" there. Except in a showroom I haven't seen a blue 2012 yet around here. Beautiful time of year, should look like a giant bowl of fruit loops up there now.

I live in Lenoir just up the road. Would love to get together this spring on the 14 and ride some. I frequent the parkway and all the local mountain roads you know and love around here. I don't see many 14's when I am out riding. Lets get together sometime.

Anytime you want to ride let me know. It will be nice riding with another ZX14. I've seen a few around the area but not while I was on the bike.

If you have facebook look me up. I use it to keep in touch with other riders in the area and a few local motorycle groups.

Bought home in Murphy NC about 41 minutes south of Deals Gap, would be interested in linking up with other riders in Western NC areas for weekend rides..especially on Fridays and Sundays...
