OK Greenie. You've waited long enough but I still think your "plain old" H2 is a better looking bike with a few less electronics you could buy aftermarket.

Well, the H2 is one of a kind in looks for sure.I love the looks. But the comfort deal though set up now nicely,it still is not a long distance machine like I wanted it to be.Everything else is great.Just want that superb electronic supension and shifting action. You know..and the ergos.Finding more and more I'm having a bit of 'problems' riding it all day.It just doesn't take road stuff so good.I've tried just about everything to smooth it out.It just won't do it.Plus the fuel mileage.Really not so good.Okay for short runs. But not for 150-200 miles at a time. And it leaves 1/2 gallon in there that ya can't use. That's a problem. It's time.
I rode my H2 from here to Libby...almost 90 miles.Filled up here..to 4.5 gallons. My friend was topped off...at 5 gallons on his SE.We got there rollin 90+ mph most of the way.Mine was flashing the fuel lamp(which gives about another gallon of fuel remaining[1/2 gallon ya can't access]).He still had 110 miles range left. That's a BIG difference. And he was ridin faster than I was a lot of the way.So mine just is at a point that it's too much hassle to try and 'plan' for fillups every 3 1/2 gallons used.
The SE is definitely more advanced and all.Yet runs as quick as the H2.Sounds impossible I know...but it does.
Probably get the stage 1 brock's tune and flash after a while. That'll bump her up to at least 240HP and another 30 ft/lbs of torque.
I do love my H2...but it's becoming less practical. And I barely ride my 14.From everything I've read and seen on youtube, that suspension is way awesome.

I added an Ohlins ttx36 to the rear..that helped the back fairly well, but to even it out I'd need the forks.I don't have 2500 bucks to get em especially not being positive they'd give the results I'm after. The SE does.It won't end up being a 25,000 dollar bike. Not with my trade ins.So it's doable.Sick of having to raise my butt everytime there's rough roads ahead. And there's no 'physical' adjustments to be made. The bike has modes and settings that go well beyond a physical shock/fork setting.

If it's got the comfort you need and you love your H2, then the SX SE is your bike. I was just reading about a guy who traded his back in. My Ohlins forks didn't make a day and night difference. I never did set them up for me but the guy I bought them from was my size and had a ZX-14 so I doubt any adjustments I make will matter much. The Ohlins shock didn't make any difference that I can tell. The performance is better for cornering but I wouldn't say the Ohlins suspension made the comfort any better as far as I can remember.

Oh that guy that traded off his H2??? It was not the H2 SX SE. It was a ZH2. He said it was comfortable and great for long rides but the rear shock was terrible. Other than that, he just didn't feel it had that special something that makes a bike right for him.

So save that Ohlins rear shock. Other than that, I think you'll be happy with the new H2. You must have done your homework and I'm sure you rode your friend's.

I thought about the Zh2.Somehow it seemed 'cheapened'.
Probably will take the shock off.I should. It's brand new and was pricey. And no,I didn't ride his.Didn't ask to.He didn't offer.Probably afraid I'd wreck it or something?
From Brock's assessment of the Zh2 he flashed and such and even though it has wheelie control, the front apparently was kinda skittish when gettin on it.I don't want that. Not even.Probably add a scott's damper on it.They have a kit now for it.Most of the guys owning one say it probably should have one.Just to be on the safe side ya know. They say the handling is VERY good.I'm down. We'll see.Nothing's set in stone. They did some mods to it at Kawasaki so it's not exactly like the H2 engine.More refined and usable.Hell my friend was seriously cruising in triple digits and from the videos I took, the bike was flat out smooth, unlike mine that was hittin every crevice in the road. You could tell because the rear turn signals just stayed solid.Wheras mine kinda bounce around everytime it hits something in the road(they both have the same indicators and stems). And it had NO problem flyin by me at 95.It just hammered right on.Yeah,it's fast and smooth alright.

IN the Turbo thread Romans just said he sold his cause it wasn't him and he missed the torque of the (turbo) 14R. I guess if you want the saddle bags and the longer touring machine for a while but why not just fast forward to the future now and buy the Goldwing?

Nope.No wing for me.Sorry for Romans it didn't click for him.Nothings ever one size fits all.Been following the guys getting the 2019,20 SE's.I have every confidence I'm gonna like this beastie.Haven't seen or heard one negative review of it yet.Except about the seat.Which I intend to replace soon after gettin her.IF I need to.I may not.Who knows?Other forum I'm on has a guy on there that has several different mods that he made. This guy is an excellent fabricator.I mean, seriously. His stuff is easily as good as any aftermarket company. But way less.So will be dropping some weight off it,and getting it fitted with the Brock's stage 1 package eventually.Just waiting now on the dealer to see what kind of deal he can work with Kawi with my trades. No hurry. It happens when it's supposed to happen.Sa'll good.Pretty sure she'll be my last bike.If it's all they say it is.Ya can't argue with results. So I'm ready.
