Air-assist quickshifter?

Has anyone on this forum ever tried a horn-button activated air shifter along with a quick-shifter install? I can see advantages in that you can still foot shift whenever you like, but you still have the rapid-shifting option for drag racing, so you don't need to get your feet up on the pegs so quickly. You can also short shift to 2nd to help combat a wheelie that gets too big. Anyone??

Just a QS here. I can't see why having an air or electric button activated shifter as well as a foot activated quick shifter would be a problem. Even if you used both at at the same time by accident, it would still work.

Thanks Rook; I think I need to look into that. One of the tracks I travel to has a 'true streetbike' class, and air shifters are not permitted. Quick-shifters are allowed, due to their foot-activated nature.

Red Yes I added an electric shifter( same as air except no refills ) and it has helped . and Ican still foot shift if I want to. Of course my shifter is only for up-shifts. I have a video posted recently and it shows how easy teh shift happens. Here is link, I hope :) HoleshotPerformance Electric shifter

I have made about 50 runs now since installing the air shift cylinder along with the Healthcare Quickshifter. This installation works flawlessly within the 80 - 130 psi range, and kill time is set at 55ms. I just broke into the 8 second range with an 8.97 at 152.59. I would recommend this setup to anybody who wants to race.

Late to this discussion but yes I had one installed on my old 2012 14R. We used a CO2 high pressure system. For drag racing much better than a electric foot shifter.
