BMW S1000XR

I picked up a 2016 BMW s1000Xr about three weeks ago and I am coming up on 500 miles. Right now I can say it is a very fun bike to ride. Very upright and comfortable and having the ability to stand and stretch out on the pegs while riding helps when your starting to feel stiff. The best option that I got was the gear shift assist pro. Clutch less upshifts at any open throttle position and clutch less downshifts with the throttle closed is really fun. With about 160hp its plenty fast. I opted for the BMW HP seat which has seat height of about 34 inches. Its a little thicker than the stocker but still now very thick. I have the ZX14r up for sale and I am considering pulling all aftermarket parts off it. I actually find myself going faster on BMW than when I rode the zx14. I think because your sitting so upright like on a dirt bike you lose a little sensation of speed. Here are a few pics.

Very cool! I still can't believe that beautiful 14r will be sold. Selling aftermarket parts separately is the best way to do it.

Yes Rook I am learning that about pulling the parts. I have had the bike listed on CL and Ebay for at least three to four weeks and I received one call. I already have the CZ wheels off so I think its going to be all stock parts going back on within the next couple weeks. I am also bringing it in for a valve check, new plugs and coolant and brake flush. Good for the new owner. Rook you should fly into BDL and ride it home!

I would love to and I would take ALL of the mods with it. Unfortunately, no spare $$$. I may consider a 14R motor in a few years and pop it in my 08.

Recently rode the S1000R on the track and was quite impressed.
