Agreed. Didn't feel you were referring to anyone, just thought you were on point with your comment.

Well, I'd be looking for something later in July or August. Busy in June and early July; would like Americade, I am sure, but have COG Ralley the next week.
Mid July thru September are dates that are possible for me.
Hope to make one of the meets this year. Missed Bear last year simply cause I was not monitoring the group ride threads. Maybe others, like me, also regularly only read "General ZX14" or "All things ZX14R" and wouldn't see this poll or note the ride plans.
Would it hurt to post on all other threads a short direction to this group ride organization?
Another possibility for location might be the Red Bull Indy GP in late August or early September if you are race fans. Goes on over a long weekend and you can ride into and park on the infield. The Indy organizers will also sell a block of tickets if wanted. Lots of party street action at night in Indianapolis if you want that, I also saw a group of "Stretched bikes" down for the race a couple years ago. Busa'a mostly.
Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin; Road America race track has road race car and bike events over the summer/fall as well and some good riding in the area.
The Cafe gathering and Classic bike race party at the Museum in Ohio is another possibility......just throwing up some ideas to see if anything sticks,
Cheers!

Well, I just made my reservations to be in Maggie Valley from June 11-15th. If anyone is interested in joining a group for an outing, shoot me a pm. I hope to meet some of you guys on one of these meet and greets. We do a couple of 1 day rides to the N.C. mountains. I will post up whenever they come up.

OK, July and August!
This is what's pending on my calendar:
July 11,12,13 Vintage MC Days at Museum in Lexington, Ohio/ with show, swap, and races.
August 8,9,10 MotoGP in Indianapolis, Indiana/ with races (naturally), possible ride the track, parties all night long in downtown, parking inside the track for MC only. I'm thinking that this might be attractive to Wolfman as I have seen a number of stretched street (racers) machines at the race and on the city streets there at past MotoGP events.
August 15,16 Woodward Dream Cruise in Detroit, Michigan with car show and cruise and I believe you can ride the route with the cars, only not in the outside lane? This attracts us older guys who like the cars of the "Scoop the Loop" era.
Believe these sites have been suggested somewhere on here already. Of course, the Dragon and Cherhola area are also frequently suggested. But be sure that you check on the many auto rallies during the summer. Getting lost in a sea of Mini's, Vettes, or Italian exotica all crowding the route is NOT my idea of fun (worse, maybe, bagger parades). Other roads in that general area could be more open. Will check out the Johnson City, Southern Dozen earlier this season.
Any interest in these in July or August or ?????

Americade is in June; not good for me. Will pass on that one.
Could do Gap in August or July.
Here's what the Deals Gap website calendar shows for June, July and August:
Of course that's only what is announced. But August is currently not indicated for known group meets.

Well kooky here, its 3/14 already and no posts since mine!
I don't think this second meet and greet effort is going anywhere. Am I wrong?
I think there is a coast to coast blast in the unofficial planning that is taking precedent and maybe a lot of vacay time.
Anyways; if its gonna be east of the Mississippi, it looks like its gonna be the Dragon in July or August.
I will be monitoring for any movement on this one, but I am gonna lock in some other trips in the meantime.
Cheers.

I'm down with any event in the Midwest. MotoGP at Indy would be sooo awesome!!
Road America at Elkhart Lake is high up on my list too, I have a friend who races there and I've always wanted to tag along. Michigan, MN, Iowa, Missouri, Illinois whatever. I'm going big on the 'sport-touring' game so I can't back down now!
Ride on!

I'm going to at least one of these race days if not all three. Close enough that I don't even have to stay over if I don't want to. Maybe I can buy you a drink at the venue, if you make the races.
