Hub,

This quote from the FSM - FUEL SYSTEM (DFI) 3-43:

If the subthrottle sensor system fails (the signal is out of the usable range, wiring short or open), the actuator locks subthrottle valve at full open position.

This looks like a simple way of trying out the "no subs" mod without taking out the subs. So to trigger this state, I'd unplug the subthrottle sensor? Is that right? What other consequences would this have? Aside from an entry in the ECU fault log, would this be reversible?

aaaand then I read the warning on p3-76

Do not remove or adjust the subthrottle sensor since it has been adjusted and set with precision from the factory.

maybe I should read some more before I hassle you. Sorry
