ABS elimination, and go:

Has anyone done this? Nasty side effects? (Other than no ABS)

I have not but I would sure research the effects any error codes could have on performance or traction control. If its weight reduction you are after maybe the peanut butter cookie diet could work to have the desired effects, that and a bran muffin and big power dump the morning of track days...

CRUDE!!
hahahaha --Sir I like your style as well.
No, weight loss is not my deal at all. My new Brembo RCS 19 master cyl that syncs up real nice with the Brembo Golden calipers that in turn will be squeezing the new BrakeTech Axis Iron 320mm rotors are not ABS enabled.
The Schnitz Racing flash That started this whole transformation handled the traction control and keeps it off so far. I will be paying attention as this comes together of course. I have noticed in playing around on the infernal murdercycle that Locking up the rear end for sliding into my driveway or sliding around in the grass was unencumbered by any ABS sensation. This led me to believe my 2012 didnt have it. Even though the rings and sensors are in place...? Go figure.

Maybe the TC disabled also disables the ABS?

Just saw your signature with the '2012 R correct? ABS was not an option until 2013 and on so you dont have the pump and the sw, the sensor rings are for the traction control

Crud is correct. The dash is rendered useless if the code is set. Can't change the clock, can't change other options. The factory heads should be shot for this dash infraction.
