Blue07, the problem is that the low beam 55W H11 are not readily available with higher output, nor are the high beam 65W H9, however, you could fairly easily adapt the H9 for use in your low beam, effectively increasing the low beam output from about 1400 lumens to aprox. 2100 /each.

JBird-Ya-those look good. Thanks Steven for your help there!Think I'm gonna go with the Hoen's.Not just yet, next week.I loved my HID's,but the inconsistent lighting situation created more hassle than I wanted-but they're very cool-if they work right!

Blue07,
What trouble are you having with the HID's? Is it just the fact that they are crappy and don't always light? I had a set of HID's from xeontech, which is what you had if I remember correctly, and I found them to be absolute junk! Got my money back, did some more research and finally bought from this place. www.xenonbargains.com
Slim balasts and no trouble for 2 years. I have them on my car also. Now I see they sell them even cheaper!

Blue07, just a word of caution, most of the blue coated light bulbs, while emitting HID like color temp. with 4 to 4.3 K, have significantly reduced light output due to the dark blue coating. There are many knock off made in orient that are inferior to just standard major brand halogen bulbs.

Well I haven't actually decided yet what to do.Redtrace-yes,they are Xentech's.Two years ya say-that's very good.I MAY look into your suggestion(I did love my HID's).They worked great-for about two weeks. Then the low started not firing,or intermittently. Then stopped altogether.Got tired of having to restart my bike three or four times to get em to come on.I'll take a look at your website there.I wonder though-ya think it's the ballasts,or the bulb?Maybe I could get some different manufacturer bulbs and use on my Xentech ballasts? If I could tell which part was causing the problem,then.............?I've got two sets of standard ballasts, and one set of slimline. Thanks guys for the advice and input!

Could just be the bulbs. On the earlier units, the thick ballasts were an issue. But cheap bulbs will fail quickly on thick or thin ballasts.
I agree with Steven's caution. Some manufacturers will up the wattage just to get the same amount of light through the blue coating. Too many watts=too much heat.
