I want to duplicate this R3 front mount steering damper. Any reason this wouldn't work on a zx14r?
I prefer this style to keep the weight as low and forward as possible.

You have to make sure the fork's mm diameter is the same as the 14's fork tube if buying that part.
You can just buy a thick enough flat stock from some metal house or make it from flat steel from a hardware store, drill the distances from the fairing mount like they did with the yammie mount. All I see buying is the tube stay and the damper unit. The rest is making sure the sweep clears any wire harness being in the way as to duplicating the same position as the yammie. That's the better sweep angle rather than outside the fork and mounted to the frame to fork.

You could go to emachineshop.com, download their CAD sw, design what you need including material and finish and with a few clicks and a credit card the part will show up at your door.
I used them for several stainless parts for my ex-boat. If you have professional design sw such as ProE or CATIA, they can accept your .stp file too.
